PUERTO MORELOS - Come meet the people of this ecologically

south of the Cancun International Airport. We invite you to

class fishing, diving, and snorkeling. The village has 2 food 
markets, numerous fruit stands, 10+ restaurants, a travel agent,
car rental office, and quaint art and clothing boutiques, along
with a 24 hour clinic, doctor and pharmacy plus a fax/phone
office. You will also find watersport and dive shops where one
can rent scuba and snorkeling equipment, or fishing boats with a
crew.
Puerto Morelos has long been a haven for artists, musicans, and expatriot writers. You are within a bicycle ride from the "Prehistorical Regional Zoo and Crocodile Farm" reknowned for the preservation of endangered animals. You can also visit the famous "Botanical Gardens" with its original and exotic vegetation displayed in their natural surroundings.
People in the surrounding area come to Puerto Morelos for the reknowned seafood restaurants with their wonderful local delicacies. Some other attractions to take in are jungle tours with a swim in a cenota or a day trip to the ancient Mayan ruins of Tulum, Coba, Cozumel, Isla Mujeres or Chichen Itza, the most famous Mayan ruin in all of Mexico.
If shopping is on your agenda, Cancun or Playa del Carmen await you, just a 20 minute cab ride from Puerto Morelos. Here you can take in shopping or the night life. Because of the diversity of the two, they are both worth experiencing.
